Obamamania

I just plain love Heather Annastasia. She's smart, witty, and at times, fierce. If I were twenty years younger, I would totally ask her out.

But enough about Heather, let's talk about Obama.

I Love Heresy

After a good night's sleep I'll see if this is just the New Years champagne talking, but this may the funniest blog ever.

I've only read the "Happy Birthday, Jesus" post so far, but Captain Smack is just wonderful.

Israel and Palestine

Well, I'm following the same group of people that were so heated about overpopulation.

BadTux and HeatherAnnastasia are smart cookies, and it's always interesting when they get together.

The situation between Israel and Palestine is both complicated and sad, and everyone seems to have an opinion.

This one is definitely worth commenting on.

When DNA Testing Becomes Commonplace

Reason Hit on Run is always an excellent place to find conversation.

Ron Bailey has some interesting conjectures on the implications on DNA profiling as it will no doubt become more inexpensive and accessible.

Darwin's Dangerous Idea

This entire blog, Liberal Values, is absolutely wonderful.

I'm dissapointed in the lack of conversation going on there since everything they post is worth commenting on.

Still, they provide lots links and references to interesting scientific articles that you may have missed (who can keep up them all?).

I also like their political slant, of course.

This particular post on the year's various Darwin-inspired articles was great fun.

Venom over the Environment

So, this is how I find gems:

I happen across a politics blog, politickybitch, and there's not a lot worth commenting on, but I like this gal's politics so I keep scrolling.

Then I'm confronted with this image:

Hilarious, right?

And there's like forty-something comments, which looks uncommon for this blog, so I check it out.

This comment stream has all the human drama you can ask for, though the central bone of contention, overpopulation, has given way to hot emotions.

What fun!

Welcome

I'm not a blogger really, I'm more of a commenter. So, either for my own use or as it may be appealing to others, this blog is basically a link farm to blogs or topics that I find interesting enough to leave comments on.

Partly, the idea came to me because I've wanted a profile for a long time, but never saw the use in starting a blog of my own. Now that I have a permanent identity, I've decided on the handle, "The Lazy Dragon." I always wanted to open a cafe called The Lazy Dragon, but that's probably not going to happen, so I'll go ahead and use the name.

Mostly, the fact is that I've come across some interesting blogs and had many a fine conversation that I lose track of later. So if I keep them all here, kind of like a diary, I can look back over them later when I think, "What ever happened to Scooby?" or "What was the name of that blog with all the funny pictures of turtles?"

So we'll see where this goes.

It should be fun.
